O’Steen’s Restaurant: Best Fried Shrimp and Chicken in Town!

O’Steen’s Restaurant: Best Fried Shrimp and Chicken in Town!

O’Steen’s has the best fried shrimp and chicken in town. I promise you.

Although you may have to wait in a line to get a seat in the restaurant (it’s that popular), the food is served to you almost immediately after you order. I promise you the food is completely worth the typical 15 to 30 minute wait for a table.

The best day to go to O’Steen’s is on Tuesday because that’s when they have their famous “Fried Chicken Tuesday” special for a wallet friendly $7.95! After trying their fried chicken, Tuesday will probably become your new favorite day of the week. It’s honestly the best tasting fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life.

If you dine at O’Steen’s on a day other than Tuesday, no worries, because they also serve the best fried shrimp you’ll ever taste, and it’s always on the menu. Additionally, O’Steen’s maintains rotating daily specials every day of the week they are open.

I had my first taste at O’Steen’s back in September and I ordered their 9-count Fried Shrimp. It wasn’t like any other fried shrimp, it was better. The breading on their shrimp is soft and thick, and they serve it with a special pink sauce.

You better save room for dessert!

O’Steen’s has the most delicious homemade pies. Their Banana Cream and Key Lime Pie are my two favorites. For the Key Lime Pie, they whip the top layer of the pie into a meringue, so whip cream is not needed, it’s already cooked into the pie. It’s unique and absolutely amazing.

Not only is the food warm and delicious, but the atmosphere at O’steen’s is nostalgic. It feels like you’re having lunch at your grandparents house whenever you go into O’Steen’s. The staff is wonderful, comforting, and the food tastes homemade. There is always a warm, familiar, special feeling in the air while dining at O’Steen’s.

Heads up!

O’Steen’s is cash only, so make sure you stop by the ATM first. O’Steen’s has their own ATM around back by their additional waiting area. Also, don’t forget, O’Steen’s is closed Sunday and Monday.
