Hurricane Patty’s is one of the best waterfront dining experiences that St. Augustine has to offer.
It has such a great atmosphere. The staff is warm and welcoming, the ambience inviting, the view is spectacular… and oh yeah, the food is great, too!
Hurricane Patty’s is located right on the water at the Rivers Edge Marina, close to the downtown historic St. Augustine area. You can arrive here by car, boat, or bicycle. It’s an ideal restaurant and bar for locals and visitors because of it’s casual setting.
On a blue sky, September afternoon, I walked into Hurricane Patty’s for the first time. My boss and I sat outside at a table on their deck underneath an umbrella where we had a delightful, light breeze and enjoyed the most gorgeous view of the San Sebastian waterfront.
I ordered their chicken tacos with Floribbean rice and my boss ordered their medium-hot wings. Our meals looked and tasted great!
The best part of the Hurricane Patty’s experience for me was it’s location. The view of the waterfront allowed me to unwind from my work day and made me feel as if I was from out-of-town on an island vacation, albeit momentarily. I loved every minute of it.
If you’re looking to have a nice, relaxing lunch in the sunshine, stop by Hurricane Patty’s. They offer lunch, dinner, and have a full-service bar. They also have dining inside in the air conditioning, if you still want to enjoy a gorgeous view of the water but want to stay out of the sun.
