Eating Out Where ‘A’ Street Meets The Ocean Is A Visual Feast At The Beachcomber

Eating Out Where ‘A’ Street Meets The Ocean Is A Visual Feast At The Beachcomber

If you’re out on St. Augustine Beach, you have to visit The Beachcomber at #2 A Street and try their Buffalo Shrimp Tacos with Red Beans and Rice. My mouth is watering just reminiscing on this meal.

The Beachcomber is one of the coolest places that you can eat at in St. Augustine. It’s the only restaurant located right on St. Augustine Beach, nestled in between beautiful sand dunes. It has a fantastic atmosphere. Not only does The Beachcomber give you a great view of the beach on Anastasia Island, but they serve great food, too!

It was a tough decision ordering since they have so many delicious menu options, but I decided on their Buffalo Shrimp Tacos. They were incredible. The tacos consisted of fresh shrimp tossed in buffalo sauce, placed on a flour tortilla with green onion cilantro slaw, crumbled bleu cheese and ranch dressing on top. I’m not a big fan of either slaw or bleu cheese, but the ingredients in these tacos were blended so perfectly, I finished my entire plate without leaving a crumb behind. The tacos had a sweet and spicy taste to them that left you licking your fingers clean!

On the side, I ordered their famous red beans and rice, and let me tell you they were the best I’ve ever had. They are definitely a must-try!

They aren’t stingy with their portions. I was full for hours after this meal.

The Beachcomber has a great atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food, and a gorgeous view of St. Augustine Beach. What else could you ask for? Oh, I almost forgot…

If you own a 4-wheel drive vehicle, I highly recommend you take a drive on the beach after your meal. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and you can drive all the way down to the Matanzas Inlet without stopping. When you’re finished, swing back up and finish off your meal with a Gelati at Rita’s.

That’s what I did yesterday and it was delightful all the way around.
